Still Life – The Golden Ages

The greatest flowering of still life painting was in the Dutch “Golden Age” of the 17th century. The next blooming was during the 19th century with the impressionists led by Cézanne and Van Gogh and in the 20th century Giorgio Morandi changed everything. Since 2006 Kevin Best has meticulously created artworks that capture the essence of the golden ages of still life using authentic objects and a mastery of light and technique.
